find a fine citizen

I had a dream last night that I found a stack of records. On the top was Dennis Wilson, followed by Roxy Music and then a bunch of other records that looked familiar. In my dream, I realized that these were MY records. But I don’t own any Dennis Wilson on vinyl.

My Dad kindly let me borrow his copy of Shadow Divers, and I started reading it 2 days ago and haven’t been able to put it down. I’m about 30 pages from finishing it and I can’t wait to do more research and reading on the story. I even stopped reading another book because the premise of Shadow Divers felt like a good adventure – something I enjoy over anything else. Especially if it is true.

Even more exciting news than reading a great book is hearing that it is being adapted into a film by a great director. One of my favorite movies of all time (top 3) is Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World directed by Peter Weir. (As of this posting, this movie is available to watch online for free here). He is attached to the 2009 release of the film adaptation of Shadow Divers.

Being back at work is absolutely intolerable.

Oh, I listened to Shadow Divers when I was on bedrest — soo good. I knitted three hats to that book. I have the authors’ new one too — about the Titanic — if you want it. (It’s not even out yet.)

    That would be: AWESOME!

(Reminder: only do things that are awesome. Working an office job, is not awesome).

Oh, and I want to read that.

Charley: I talked to my Dad and he said he’ll reread it in a few years, so you probably have time to borrow it from me.

Lins: I know school probably stinks, especially right after summer. But absorb as much as you can (especially in English and stuff like annotation) because I felt a year behind my freshman year in college. Due diligence has its rewards.
